Despite the fact that Bill Cosby is serving three to 10 years behind bars after being convicted of drugging and sexually assaulting a former Temple University employee at his Philadelphia home in 2004, as well and has had to deny the the dozens of other sexual assault allegations against him, Boosie Badazz wants the actor to be released from prison.

In a seemingly unprovoked tweet on Tuesday (September 1), the “Wipe Me Down” rapper expressed his desire to see Cosby a free man and even suggested an actionable item to put his plan in motion.

“Free Bill Cosby Let’s Start A Petition,” he wrote.

Earlier this year, sports journalist Jemele Hill called out Snoop Dogg over a similar issue. The rap legend had shared his support for Cosby as well as Kobe Bryant and Michael Jackson after Gayle King’s now-infamous interview with WNBA legend Lisa Leslie where she mentioned Bryant’s previous rape case, and Hill made sure to remind him who he was defending.

“For those still supporting Bill Cosby, is the first-person account of Beverly Johnson, the first black supermodel, saying Cosby drugged her and attempted to rape her enough for you to stop acting like Cosby is suffering an injustice?” Hill tweeted after Cosby himself (or a handler running his page) thanked Snoop on Twitter.

Hill then followed up with another tweet with a reminder of Cosby’s previous disparaging remarks against the Hip Hop community.

“Bill Cosby was the same dude telling black men they didn’t deserve any respect because they wore their pants too low, they listened to hip hop, and cussed too much,” she added. “But please, come to the defense of someone who loved to moralize to our community while raping women.”

Boosie’s currently camped out on Twitter as he awaits the reinstatement of his Instagram page. After consistently posting sexual content that violates IG’s user agreement, the Baton Rouge native’s account was deactivated on August 13. He’s since called out Facebook creator “Mark Zuckerberger” over the issue and has been impatiently waiting after taking the required steps to have his account restored.
