J. Cole was accused of throwing shots at Benny The Butcher on Benny’s song “Johnny P’s Caddy” with lines like these:

“Of course I’m tryin’ to revive a sport that’s dyin’ / But the guns and the drug bars that y’all relyin.'”

“Cole World, the heat’ll blast through your speaker / He the last of Mohicans, no weaklings last in my sneakers / N*gga want me on a song, he gon’ see the wrath of the reaper.”

So, Benny responded to the  claim on his song “The Blue Building,” off his new Summertime Butch album.

“Trolls tell me I got dissed by Cole on my record / I’m like, ‘Is y’all slow?’ That’s my n*gga / We having hour-long conversations from home / I’m picking his brain on my way to the throne, I ain’t no dumb n*gga / I ain’t get here focusing on figures alone, I played more of the distributor role / He told me, ‘Butch, if you see yourself winning, you got a vision to throw.'”

So, there you have it.

Also, have you listened to Summertime Butch? If so, how would you rate it?
