The Griselda rapper links with Hit-Boy for his latest studio album.

Taking no time off, Benny The Butcher is back with another new album.

Released today via Griselda/EMPIRE, Burden of Proof is a big-league move for the Buffalo rapper. The 12-track project is produced entirely by Hit-Boy and features appearances from a who’s who of elite MCs, including Rick Ross, Freddie Gibbs, Lil Wayne, and Big Sean, as well as his labelmates, Westside Gunn and Conway The Machine on the album’s penultimate cut, “War Paint.”

Burden of Proof was announced with the glimmering lead single, “Timeless,” just a week ago. In an Instagram post, Hit-Boy revealed the beat for “Timeless” was a leftover from the sessions for JAY-Z and Kanye West’s collaborative album, Watch The Throne, in 2011. “I wanna let all my producer Homies know you should never give up on any of your ideas,” Hit-Boy wrote in a post with a clip of himself working on the track with a visibly smitten Young Guru looking over his shoulder.

Though he’s released several placeholders in between, Burden of Proof is an official follow-up to the rapper’s breakout project, The Plugs I Met. Earlier this year, Benny co-hosted The Respected Sopranos, the debut mixtape from his Black Soprano Family, with DJ Drama. Benny also appeared on a number of the year’s biggest rap releases, contributing verses to Freddie Gibbs and The Alchemist’s Alfredo, Lil Wayne’s Funeral, Royce Da 5’9″”s The Allegory, Conway’s From King to a GOD, Boldy James’ The Price of Tea in China, and both of Westside Gunn’s 2020 drops. Needless to say, it’s been a busy stretch for Benny. And he doesn’t show any signs of dialing it back just yet.

Stream Benny The Butcher’s new album, Burden of Proof, below and hold tight for his next transmission.  Shouldn’t be too long now.
