Anthony Mackie has gone from Papa Doc to Captain America.

That’s quite a journey.

During a chat with the Pivot Podcast, Mackie discussed battling Eminem in 8 Mile in what was both of their debut movie roles.

According to Mackie, Em got some real information on Mackie and then used it as Rabbit on Papa Doc to make the scene feel more authentic.

“We’re doing the movie, and Eminem is just such a brilliant dude. We’re on set one day, and he said, ‘Yo, it don’t make sense that we’re beefing. I need something on you.  So we talk for like two hours, chilling.  Mackie said.  “The next day, we’re shooing the battle scene.  And that’s why I’m standing there.  “And I’m like ‘You talking about me you not talking about Clarence!” This has nothing do to with the character.  You’re an asshole, Emimem. I will fight this motherf*cker.  Yes, my parents are still married.”
