The Barbz are probably not going to be happy about this.
Just days after A$AP Ferg was torn to shreds on social media by Nicki Minaj‘s legion of supporters over his lack of promotion of their “Move Ya Hips” collab, he’s debuted the visual … sans Minaj.
In his defense, the video doesn’t feature the track’s other guest MadeInTYO either or even Ferg himself. Instead, the Harlem native and director Isaac Rentz crafted a short horror film of sorts featuring a sex robot coming to life.
Earlier in the week, Minaj’s Barbz came for blood when “Move Ya Hips” debuted at No. 19 on the Billboard Hot 100 – as they felt it could have and should have been No. 1. While accusing Ferg of failing to report sales of the single from his website, they also expressed their dissatisfaction of his promotion of the record.
“SO YOU MEAN TO TELL ME, 1. Ferg didn’t promo at ALL,” one tweet read. “Ferg released the song a day before tracking week (losing a whole day of sales). 3. Ferg leaked Nicki’s WHOLE verse. 4. Ferg didn’t released an MV or alt. 5. THIS STUPID MF FORGOT TO SUBMIT SALES??”
They ended the tweet with what then became a trending hashtag, #Asapfergisoverparty.
A pregnant Minaj was spotted on set with YoungBoy Never Broke Again over the weekend filming the visual to their upcoming collab, however, so she doesn’t seem to be bothered.
