Fans of Jay Electronica finally had their dreams fulfilled when he dropped his long awaited debut album, A Written Testimony, last week. The 10-track project boasts heavy contributions from Roc Nation boss JAY-Z as well as Travis Scott and The-Dream.
But Joe Budden, who’s built a career around giving his opinion, evidently feels Hov’s omnipresence steals the show and had no problem saying so on Twitter.
“I never got absolutely mopped around on my own project either…” Budden tweeted in response to a GIF stating Budden has never had a classic. “@ me, not Rory,” a reference to his Joe Budden Podcast co-star.

Electronica replied, “i never heard your albums bro. may Allah bless your career as a journalist,” to which Budden said, “I took you off yours & it’s a Hov mixtape now…Peace be unto you as well King.”
Electronica added, “make sure yall give me my credit for lighting up that next podcast episode too. #DrakeIsMySpiritAnimal.”

Par for the course, Twitter is loving the salty interactions.
As “Joe Budden” trends once again, the opinions are flying left and right — some people think Budden is absolutely correct, while others are simply taking the opportunity to make a joke.
Check out some of the reactions below.
The only way Joe Budden gets attention is by hating on another artist, of his genre AND race btw, new project that is buzzing.
If Joe Budden had to get attention his own music, it would be like Virginia at 9 p.m.

Niggas saying Joe Budden can’t critique an album because y’all feel like he doesn’t have a classic album.. how does that make sense? You niggas 36 and didn’t finish high school and speak on shit you clearly don’t know about all the time.

Jay elec doing what every artist who struggles to sustain the relevance seems to do these days…
Try to lure Joe Budden into a squabble so they can extend their little run of attention.
And that’s HILARIOUS considering how much of a doormat they used to view Joe as.

The most consistent thing in music is artists getting deep in their feelings when Joe Budden doesn’t enjoy their music.
And proceed to try to downplay HIS ability because of it.
It’s so hilarious.

Also. Joe Budden is just an outright better rapper than jay elec. no amount of aki bars can change that.
Dude got 6 new incredible jay z verses on his album and it’s barely listenable.
Think about that
