We know now that JAY-Z offered Drake the Super Bowl halftime in both 2020 and 2021.

He turned it down, and he wouldn’t be the first to do so. Artists like Taylor Swift have said no to the NFL due to conflicts or an aversion to working for free.

Then, something changed in Drake and Hov’s relationship. Not only did Jay stop offering Drizzy the spot, but he ended up giving this year’s show to Drake’s opp, Kendrick Lamar, at the expense of Drake’s mentor and hometown boy, Lil Wayne.

According to Joe Budden, it may have had something to do with Beyonce.

Budden confirmed that Drake worked on Beyonce’s house album, Renaissance.  Then he front run her and dropped his 2022 house album, Honestly, Nevermindbefore Bey’s project got to market.

“‘Drake you worked on the Beyonce’s house album and then you did you house album and dropped it right before hers and you didn’t like that … People with a power like to extert that power,” Budden said.

Do you think that’s part of what is going on here?
