While visiting Stephan A. Smith’s K[no]w Mercy podcast, Snoop Dogg revealed that Dr. Dre will executive produce his next album, Missionary.

Snoop Dogg and Dr. Dre are back in the lab. While speaking with Stephan A. Smith on the K[no]w Mercy podcast, the Long Beach native shared that he and Dr. Dre have been working on new music for the “past two months.” The rapper also shared that his new album Missionary, executive produced by Dre, will arrive in November. The album marks their first collaborative project in 29 years since Snoop’s 1993 debut Doggystyle (November also marks the 30th anniversary of the album).

When Smith asked why Snoop chose Missionary as the album’s title, Snoop joked, “The first album was Doggystyle…”

Smith and Snoop also discussed the “Gin and Juice” rapper acquiring Death Row Records earlier this year.

“I was looking to get my masters back from Doggystyle,” Snoop said. “During the process, they were – the people that had it – were charging more for the masters than for Death Row. So I had to ask myself, ‘Do I want the masters now, or do I want to go back and get that legacy?’”

He continued, “Death Row Records should be the most prolific, dominant, business-minded companies to come out of the West Coast, that comes and stays with you for a lifetime.”

In related news, Seth Rogen and his wife Lauren Miller Rogen recently shared how Snoop once auctioned a blunt for $10,000 for their Alzheimer’s nonprofit Hilarity for Charity.
