Freestyling over production from Warren G and Nate Dogg classic “Regulate,” Megan Thee Stallion slammed her record label on L.A. Leakers.

Megan Thee Stallion pulled no punches against current record label 1501 Certified Entertainment during a recent appearance on L.A. Leakers on Power 106. While freestyling over 1994 Warren G and Nate Dogg hit “Regulate,” the ‘Houston Hottie’ called out the hometown label for not letting her out of her contract.

“These b*****s don’t like me but I got to make them hate me/How you want to be me, at the same time wanna shade me?/I be making money on the m************g daily/Got my label mad but them n****s gotta pay me,” she rapped.

Days before the freestyle dropped, Meg aired out grievances against 1501 Certified Entertainment on Twitter, as the rapper is currently in a legal battle with the label after she signed to them in 2018. The 27-year-old has filed multiple lawsuits against the label, founded by former MLB player Carl Crawford, accusing them of locking her into a contract and hindering her from releasing music.

In 2021, Meg released surprise LP Something for the Hotties to fulfill her contract, but 1501 Certified Entertainment countersued, claiming that the release does not qualify as an album.

Meg has finished her sophomore album, a follow-up to her 2020 debut album Good News, which is slated to release this year. Although the album is currently untitled, it will include recent singles “Plan B” and “Pressurelicious,” featuring Future. During a June 2022 interview with Rolling Stone, the rapper teased that the album would take listeners “through so many different emotions.” “At first you was twerking, now you might be crying,” she said.
