Los Angeles, CA – Dr. Dre is seemingly out of the woods after reportedly suffering a brain aneurysm earlier this week. The lauded producer issued an update from Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles on Tuesday night (January 5) after news of his condition started making the rounds.

“Thanks to my family, friends and fans for their interest and well wishes,” he wrote on Instagram. “I’m doing great and getting excellent care from my medical team. I will be out of the hospital and back home soon. Shout out to all the great medical professionals at Cedars. One love!”

TMZ reported Dre was rushed by ambulance to Cedar-Sinai on Monday (January 4) and admitted to the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) with a brain bleed. He was ultimately declared “stable and lucid,” but doctors were still running a battery of tests to determine how the bleed began.

Dre and his estranged wife Nicole Young have been embroiled in a bitter divorce since she filed last June. As the months drag on, the proceedings seem to grow increasingly more complicated. From Young accusing Dre of fathering children outside of their marriage to Dre claiming she embezzled hundreds of thousands of dollars from their company Records One Studios, to say the split has been messy is an understatement.

Young is seeking $2 million a month in temporary spousal support and $5 million in legal fees, which Dre’s attorneys say is ludicrous. The primary focus of the case revolves around a prenuptial agreement Young reportedly signed in 1996 but believes should be thrown out because Dre allegedly tore it up one night as some kind of romantic gesture.

The 51-year-old says Dre keeps over $260 million in cash and has a large amount of Apple stock, meaning he should have plenty of money to cover her demands. The couple was expected in court on Wednesday (January 6), but Dre will have to skip that one.
