Los Angeles, CA – Playboi Carti’s grotesquely delayed Whole Lotta Red album is supposedly on its way, his latest announcement of an intergalactic guest feature adds tenfold to the hype surrounding the project.

Following a recent pop-up appearance with Kanye West, the purported executive producer of the album, Carti linked with Kid Cudi and gave the Man On The Moon III: The Chosen rapper his flowers in an Instagram post on Monday (December 14).

“I fl3w 2 bro!” he captioned the photo. “Told him his music is world needed. V3ry good guy beautiful spirit. He will be on this album. L0v3 him. W3 all do.”

Though it’s been nearly a month since Carti initially declared he’d turned in his long-awaited mumble rap masterwork, alleged release dates and other information related to the release of Whole Lotta Red has seemingly leaked weekly since the announcement.

In fact, it was Akademiks who first perpetuated the Christmas release date theory for the project in an Instagram post earlier this month.

Additionally, rap newcomer Mario Judah’s abrasive ultimatum-leveraging campaign to force Carti’s hand into dropping Whole Lotta Red has culminated in the release of his baby voice-channeling single “Bih Yah” and his tribute capsule project.

“I tried to warn you dude,” Judah wrote in the caption of the Instagram post. “Whole Lotta Red’ OUT NOW.”

In the two years since Carti’s experimental debut album Die Lit, he’s delivered one official release in the form of his “Meh,” single. However, he recently piqued the interest of fans with his promising guest spot on Lil Yachty’s Lil Boat 3.5 track “Flex Up,” alongside Future.
