The producer slipped out a pair of new tapes on Bandcamp Friday.

Another week, another set of drops from Knxwledge.

Celebrating another successful run of Bandcamp’s fee-less Friday campaign, the producer let loose two new projects on the indie-heavy streamer, extending a pair of his ongoing mixtape series with new installments of WrapTaypes and VGM. On the former, Knxw treats loose freestyles, revered rap classics, and deep album cuts from contemporaries, with his hallmark touch, setting cuts from Mobb Deep, Pop Smoke, DaBaby, and more, against a range of dusty loops and glitchy micro-chops. The latter expands the blast radius of his most recent series, which features a range of flips culled from well-vetted and obscure video game soundtracks, stitching in scratch vocals from Zack Fox, Usher, and more.

The latest pair of tapes follows a new volume of HexualSealingswhich featured remixes of songs from Mariah Carey, Gyrl, Kehlani, and Brandy, amongst others. Knxwledge also contributed some production to Steve Arrington’s first album in a decade, Down To The Lowest Terms: The Soul Sessions, which featured credits from damn-near the entire roster of Stones Throw producers, including J. Rocc, Mndsgn, Jerry Paper, and more.

His last studio album proper, 1988, arrived in April of this year, featuring appearances from Durand Bernarr, Rose Gold, and a long-awaited NxWorries reunion.

Hear Knxwledge’s latest round of releases below. Head over to his Bandcamp page for a near-infinite scroll of tapes and hold tight for his next transmission. Shouldn’t be too long now.
