Royce Da 5’9 was a recent guest on the The Godcast podcast with hosts Lord Jamar, Rah Digga and comedian Godfrey. Inevitably, the subject of Eminem came up due to the Brand Nubian’s MC historically intense disdain for the diamond-selling rapper. But during the conversation, the Bad Meets Evil MC made an interesting revelation and suggested those days are over.
In the clip, Slim Shady’s longtime friend and collaborator revealed he helped facilitate what was essentially an end to Lord Jamar and Eminem’s longstanding beef.
Lord Jamar, who’s been one of Eminem’s most outspoken critics (especially when he’s on VladTV’s couch), broached the topic with, “For the record, now that all this Vlad shit is done, tell your boy Marshall, you know — we good.”
Royce replied, “He’ll like to hear that. Remember, I was telling you last we spoke, he told me to tell you ‘what up.’ But he especially told me to tell the Queen what up. He said ‘yeah man, tell him I said I’m off that, man.’ And he was also like ‘yo, you’re going to go see Rah?! Tell her what up!’ He’s like a little kid, man. Same little kid from back when.”

Lord Jamar finally vowed to stop granting interviews to DJ Vlad after the YouTube personality was called out for misquoting minister Louis Farrakhan last month. When Royce caught wind of Vlad’s faux pas, he implored Vlad to issue a public apology, but he refused. Instead, Vlad said the only way he’d apologize is if Farrakhan would grant him an interview.
Royce laughed off his request, saying, “Not only are you not getting an interview with the minister, you would never sit in the same room as the minister. Who the fuck do you think you are, man? Why are y’all talking about this like this is even realistic? That’s a joke. That’s a farce. That shit will never happen. This has nothing to do with Minister Farrakhan. We don’t need you to like Farrakhan brother.”
With that, Lord Jamar and Godfrey pulled their support for Vlad, and it appears Shady and Jamar are now on more even ground. Watch the clip above and find the full podcast discussion here.
