Los Angeles, CA – Dr. Dre and Nicole Young were married for roughly 24 years and, by all outward appearances, seemed to have it made. But behind the scenes, their relationship was apparently crumbling, which led to Young filing for divorce in June.

As the former couple struggles over the famed producer’s $1 billion fortune, thing have taken yet another contentious turn. According to TMZ, Young has been accused of “decimating” the bank account of Record One recording studio, a company she and Dre co-founded in 2015. Record One is operated by an LLC along with co-owner Larry Chatman, who claims Young pilfered $363,571.85 from the company last month.

Attorney Ed McPherson, who reps the LLC that operates Record One, fired off a letter to Young’s legal team which included a copy of the exorbitant check Young wrote to herself. The letter accuses Young of “blatant and unjustifiable criminal embezzlement of corporate funds,” as well as a breach of her fiduciary duties.

But Young’s lawyer Bryan Freedman reportedly believes it’s all a publicity stunt to take the spotlight off Dre who was recently accused of hiding assets from his soon-to-be ex.

“This is just a low-grade PR stunt by Andre [Dre] and his team to try to change the fact that he was caught red-handed and sued for trying to cheat Nicole out of community property to which she is entitled,” he said. “There is no question that Nicole had both the contractual and the legal right to have taken this action and Andre’s team is well aware of this fact. Any suggestion she did something untoward is preposterous and pathetic.”

Young has requested almost $2 million a month in temporary spousal support while she continues to hole up in their Malibu mansion. The couple married in 1996 and have two grown children together.
