Cardi B has made changes to her divorce from Offset after Hollywood Unlocked broke the news yesterday (September 15).

TMZ initially reported Cardi was seeking primary physical and legal custody of their 2-year-old daughter Kulture Kiari Cephus, and wanted the Migos rapper to pay child support. According to a new report from TMZ, Cardi wasn’t aware the documents filed made her terms seem so controversial.

Cardi reportedly didn’t know her lawyer was positioning the case this way and has no problem with Offset being a co-parent. The Bronx rapper wants Offset to have joint custody of their child, and is willing to have a friendly relationship going forward.

Despite the divorce petition saying she wanted child support, Cardi doesn’t actually want any money from him and will change the original documents.

Cardi filed for divorce from Offset in Georgia this week, after marrying each other in September 2017. Their relationship issues were no secret to the public over the years, with the power couple breaking up in December 2018 before getting back together. In an interview with Elle, Cardi confirmed that he cheated on her.

“I believe in forgiveness,” she said. “I prayed on it. Me and my husband, we prayed on it. We had priests come to us. And we just came to an understanding like, bro, it’s really us against the world. He has my back for everything, I have his back for everything, so when you cheat, you’re betraying the person that has your back the most. Why would you do that? We have come to a clear understanding. For me, monogamy is the only way. I’ll beat your ass if you cheat on me.”

In July, Offset’s ex-girlfriend Nicole “Shya L’Amour” Algarin, who is the mother of his eldest daughter, demanded to see the rapper’s full income and tax returns in an attempt to come to a child support agreement.

Cardi’s last Instagram post about Offset was Migos’ “Need It” music video on August 21.
