Blac Youngsta and Moneybagg Yo will release a joint album on Friday (September 18).

Initially, both Blac Youngsta and Moneybagg Yo were teasing the release date on their respective social media pages as if they were each dropping a solo project. It was until they went live together on Tuesday (September 15) that they confirmed it would be a collaborative effort.

“You are my favorite when it come to lyrics and bars and shit bruh,” Youngsta told Moneybagg on Live. “So me doing one with you – come on man!”

Moneybagg echoed similar sentiments before deciding they’d scrap their current projects and come together for a new one.

“Fuck our solo shit,” he said. “Bruh we got to do that. Let’s go.”

A rep for Youngsta confirmed to HipHopDX the project will feature a mix of solo records from each artist as well as songs Youngsta and Moneybagg created together.

The project will follow Moneybagg’s January album Time Served. The gold-selling project peaked at No. 3 on the Billboard 200 and featured his ex Megan Thee Stallion, DaBaby, Future, Lil Baby and more.

Youngsta’s last album Church On Sunday came in November of 2019, packed with features from Ty Dolla $ign, Chris Brown, Tory Lanez, G-Eazy and more, including Moneybagg.
