Mac Miller is still being fondly remembered by the Hip Hop community.

Monday (September 7) marked two years since the Pittsburgh rapper passed away at the age of 26. A creative force not just as an MC but as a producer under the moniker Larry Fisherman, Miller befriended many during his time on Earth and became one of Hip Hop’s go-to creatives.

Throughout the day, Miller’s peers such as Thundercat, Wale, Ab-Soul, Juicy J and more shared touching tributes to him including rare photos and more.

“You have two families, the family you’re born with and the family you choose,” Thundercat wrote on Twitter next to a black and white photo of Miller with SZA. “The family I chose, Not a day goes by I don’t feel it. I know y’all feel it too. Only bumping Mac Miller today.”

SZA added, “I love you both so much and miss my family every day thank you for allowing me in your space to discover myself and believing in me the entire time..I could never repay you.”

Her fellow TDE labelmate Ab-Soul called Miller simply “the chosen one” by how he spent his time on Earth.

Juicy wrote, “R.I.P. Mac Miller I miss you mane.”

Wale spent time sharing not only Miller’s final interview but also clips of him giving advice to fans in regards to having fun, enjoying life and more.

“Mac Miller 4L,” Wale wrote.

Miller passed away on September 7, 2018 due to an accidental overdose, weeks removed from the release of his Swimming album.

In the time since, his estate released his final album, Circles which debuted at No. 3 with 164,000 equivalent album units earned on the Billboard 200 chart. It was Miller’s sixth Top 10 album.

Additionally, the estate has been digging into his mixtape catalog and re-releasing the projects onto streaming providers. In August, a deluxe edition of Miller’s breakthrough mixtape K.I.D.S. was shared in honor of the tape celebrating its 10th anniversary.

The project was initially added in April via Rostrum Records and debuted on the Billboard 200 chart with roughly 9,000 equivalent album units earned.
