It really doesn’t take much to ignite the ire of Twitter these days. Fat Joe learned that the hard way when he casually compared Drake to Michael Jackson while speaking to Rick Ross during his Instagram Live show.
“What’s this relationship between you and Drake?” he said. “Lemme finish … Drake is possibly the hardest person to get in touch with and let’s be clear, every song he does goes No. 1 and he’s just like, the Michael Jackson of this time.”

That was all it took. King of Pop fans started feverishly defending the late music icon and scoffed at the Terror Squad OG’s assessment. In all fairness, it seemed Joe was simply trying to point out Drake’s penchant for No. 1 Billboard Hot 100 hits puts him in a elite category — just like MJ.
In 2018, Drake surpassed Jackson’s record of 37 No. 1 hits when “Nice For What” landed at No. 1 on the Hot 100 chart, earning the 6 God his 38th chart-topping single either as a lead or featured artist.
Nonetheless, Twitter wasn’t having it and promptly roasted Joe for his sentiments. Check out some of the reactions below.

He probably means that Drake is the biggest artist in rap of this generation & Drake did surpassed MJ but MJ wasn’t a rap so he’ll always be the king of Pop but Ik what Fat Joe is talking about https://t.co/VOzwLXgtWB

Drake not even a better artist than Chris Brown so don’t dare even utter Michael Jackson in the same sentence with Drake. Fat Joe can eat ass respectfully.

Yeah, this is absurd. Love Fat Joe and know his comment may have been genuine but to mention Drake in the same sentence as Michael Jackson is ridiculous.

I don't know who the heck Fat Joe is, and Drake means little in my part of the world. Whereas Michael Jackson has reigned King of Pop, Rock & Soul for four decades. Come back when your fave has had that kind of international longevity.
