Two adults and two teens have officially been charged with the murder of Pop Smoke. The Los Angeles County District Attorney’s office announced charges against Corey Walker, 19, and Keandre Rodgers, 18, as well as two juveniles on Monday (July 13).

Walker and Rodgers were charged with murder occurring during the commission of a robbery and a burglary, making them both eligible for the death penalty or life in prison without parole. The two are also facing gang and gun-related allegations.

Two unidentified teenagers, ages 15 and 17, have been charged with one count of murder and robbery in juvenile court. Their identities haven’t been publicly revealed since they’re underage.

Prosecutors say the four defendants broke into a Hollywood Hills home where Pop was staying around 4 a.m. on February 19. The late rapper, whose real name was Bashar Jackson, was shot during a confrontation with the intruders and later died at a local hospital.

Los Angeles police arrested Walker, Rodgers, the two teens and a 21-year-old man named Jaquan Murphy in connection to Pop’s murder on July 9. According to the Los Angeles Times, Murphy is facing murder and attempted murder charges for unrelated shootings from earlier this year.

The Los Angeles County D.A. hasn’t determined if it will seek the death penalty against Walker and Rodgers. The district attorney’s office said a decision on potential capital punishment pursuits will be made at a later date.
