Tekashi 6ix9ine was released from Queens Detention Facility at the beginning of April and is required to finish the remainder of his prison sentence on house arrest. As soon as he returned home, his social media savagery immediately resumed and he’s basically been full throttle ever since.

But 6ix9ine’s attorneys are reportedly worried about his safety. Speaking to the New York Post on Saturday (June 20), 6ix9ine’s longtime attorney Dawn Florio said, “I’m concerned. Lots of people condemn Danny [Daniel Hernandez] for cooperating with the government. Even a young gang member who wants to make a name for himself could try something.”

Following 6ix9ine’s November 2018 arrest, he quickly agreed to cooperate with the federal government. In fact, his testimony during the October 2019 trial of Nine Trey Gangsta Blood leaders Aljermiah “Nuke” Mack and Anthony “Harv” Ellison helped take down the gang’s criminal enterprise.

While his willingness to cooperate with the authorities should’ve put a target on his back, his first post-prison single “GOOBA” was devoured by his rabid, cult-like fanbase and debuted at No. 3 on the Billboard Hot 100. The video currently sits at over 376 million YouTube views, which only feeds the 24-year-old’s healthy ego even more.

“I assumed he was a dead man walking as soon as he got out,” an attorney for the Nine Trey Bloods told the Post. “But the fans are glorifying him. It used to be that a rat was the worst thing you could be . . . It’s not very Godfather-ish out there anymore.”

The Brooklyn-born artist was initially set up in a Long Island rental but needed to be relocated after a neighbor caught him on camera. The next move will be out of New York.

“He’s in great spirits,” Florio added. “But I won’t rest easy until he’s located in a different state with 24-hour security.”

6ix9ine will be a relatively free man on July 31 when home confinement ends. He’ll be on supervised release until 2025.
