According to TMZ, Oakland County’s chief assistant prosecutor Paul Walton said the arrest comes nearly two months after Dugg (real name Dion Marquise Hayes) fled from Michigan police in a Detroit suburb.

Walton explained when officers attempted pull over a 2020 Chevy Tahoe for running a stop sign last month, the driver took off as soon as the cop approached the vehicle. Although the driver momentarily got away, officers were able to run the license plates and figure out the car was a Hertz rental.

The rental agreement was under a local promotor’s name and police soon discovered Dugg was one of the promotor’s clients. Walton said a detective analyzed surveillance video in the area and determined Dugg was the behind the wheel. Officers ultimately located Dugg and booked him for fleeing a police officer, a third-degree felony.
