16 New Hip-Hop, R&B & Alt Albums You Should Be Listening To (Week of March 25)
Kilo Kish’s AMERICAN GURL is one of the most unique drops to arrive this week, and Fana Hues is back with flora + fana, her latest album. More staples this week come from Denzel Curry and Latto.
This week is a stacked one. The late Phife Dawg’s Forever is now officially available. The posthumous release features a bevy of talent including Busta Rhymes, Q-Tip, De La Soul, and also Rapsody.
Another strong release is Kilo Kish’s AMERICAN GURL. She’s still creating music that feels good for her, this time around she enlists Miguel, Vince Staples, and Jesse Boykins III. Another artist who dropped off a solid album this week: Denzel Curry, he returns with Melt My Eyez See Your Future. Koffee shares her reflective album Gifted. The Cool Kids are still sharing new music; they’ve unleashed another new project titled BABY OIL STAIRCASE / CHILLOUT.
Latto firmly plants herself into the female rap canon yet again with 777. Her latest album features 21 Savage, Lil Wayne, Childish Gambino, Lil Durk, and also Nardo Wick. NIGO’s compilation I Know NIGO! is here – it features A$AP Rocky, Pusha T, Clipse, Kid Cudi, Lil Uzi Vert, and more. Key Glock has also released Yellow Tape 2 (Deluxe).
Fana Hues emerges and shares flora + fana, an exploratory, poetic installment in her artistry. KALLITECHNIS shows her most intimate side on her new album IT’S NOT PERSONAL featuring one sole feature: Jaylien.
Additional drops that caught our attention this week include releases by Buddy, Larry June, MESSIAH!, ASTN, Sally Sosa, and ØHENRY.
